Explore the Cape Peninsula
Explore the Cape Peninsula on a full day meander through breathtaking landscape. Visits will the well-known African Penguin Colony at Simon’s Town on False Bay. Visit the Cape of Good Hope, Cape Point Lighthouse and a spectacular drive along the Atlantic Seaboard.
Unless you are staying within walking distance of the beach in Camps Bay (or some other area where everything you want is close by) then you will find it very frustrating not to have transportion. Even short distance walks (like from V&A Harbour to the Castle of Good Hope) are problematic by foot, in a city with dividing motorways, and little or no signage or facilities for pedestrians away from the shopping precincts.
Cape Peninsula: We’ll go to the Cape of Good Hope via Simon’s Town and the African penguin colony at Boulders. We’ll visit Cape Point in the Table Mountain National Park, maybe have lunch there before taking a hike in a quieter part of the reserve to immerse yourself in the essence of the landscape. Then we can take take Chapman’s Peak Drive (if it is open) through Hout Bay and along the Atlantic seaboard via Llandudno and Camps Bay, stopping off at one of Clifton’s famous four beaches.
